Prof. Richard Roberts is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Real Estate at Monmouth University, where he teaches across multiple disciplines, with a particular focus on macroeconomics and monetary banking.
He previously served as a senior executive at the Federal Reserve System for over 20 years. During the 2008 financial crisis, he led credit risk management efforts at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, oversaw the Payment System Risk Division, and chaired several system-wide committees focused on identifying and mitigating counterparty risk. In addition, he was responsible for preparing FOMC monetary policy briefing materials for the President of the Kansas City Fed.
